Ungaretti immagina che la donna amata compaia al portone, col vestito rosso, per dirgli d’essere il fuoco che consuma e riaccende. Ovviamente, si percepisce la passionalità. La porta è quasi un caminetto, nell’ansia che qualcuno la varchi per noi… In specie, il vestito rosso della donna avrebbe “per tizzoni” le spine della rosa, che pungano il dito del poeta innamorato. Pare che Olga “cavalchi” il bracciolo d’una poltrona. Dietro di lei, noi potremmo scorgere un caminetto. Olga porta un vestito rosso. Immaginiamo che lei virtualmente abbia la chitarra, con la mano sinistra sul ponte e quella destra sulla tastiera. Qualcosa in cui le dita si farebbero pungere al “mero varco” della passionalità, se la musica è un “tizzone” impercettibile per l’aria. Olga ha uno sguardo quasi in trasfigurazione spirituale. Quello dovrà varcare l’Assoluto.

Ungaretti imagines that the loved woman appears on the main door, in red dress, saying to him that she is the fire which consumes and rekindles. Of course, we perceive there a passionateness. The main door is almost a fireplace, in the anxiety for which somebody oversteps that element for us… Especially, the red dress of the woman would have “as embers” the thorns of a rose, which sting a finger of the poet in love. It seems that Olga “rides” the armrest of an armchair. Behind her, we could glimpse a fireplace. Olga wears a red dress. We imagine that she virtually has the guitar, with the left hand on the bridge and the right hand on the fingerboard. Something where the fingers would be stung through the “mere gate” of a passionateness, if the music is an imperceptible “ember” for the air. Olga has a gaze almost spiritually transfigured. That will have to overstep the Absolute.
