Per Goethe, Venezia sarebbe sorta dal grembo del mare come Pallade dal cervello di Giove. In chiave più geografica, consideriamo la laguna, e “sulla testa” del Mare Adriatico. Venezia è anche maestra d’intelletto, con una “vivacità” tale da farle dominare il mercato con l’Oriente. Virginia posa camminando, per uno scatto in notturna. Precisamente, lei si trova a Venezia, in Piazza San Marco. Sullo sfondo la basilica appare mossa, tramite la sfocatura. Virginia ha un look greco. Ma quanto le pieghe esposte al vento “s’incaglierebbero”, come una polena? Ricorderemo la Nike di Samotracia. Virginia esibisce anche le “vele spiegate”… del petto. La Basilica di San Marco a Venezia ha uno stile romanico-bizantino. Qualcosa in cui l’imponenza si schiacci ai “grembi” delle cupole, mentre intelligentemente i pesi si distribuiranno in larghezza (rispettato il suolo sabbioso). Virginia porta i capelli intrecciati a corona, di nuovo in stile classicista. Curiosamente il suo cognome, Reniero, riprende quello d’un doge veneziano.
