Reggere la banderuola d’un canyon – Holding the wind vane of a canyon

Vilem Flusser wrote that the technical images (like those from photography) don’t reintroduce the reality, but more “actively” this last one is reproduced by them, that take “over for” it. Something that we exemplify through a… dam! In the camera, the reality literally “would be poured” on the technical image. This is not primarily a re-entry, but rather a more active overturning. In the thought the reality has an image, in the camera the reality has an image which functions. The overturning of a technical planning can start the seriality. When the camera reproduces the reality of an image, the first element materially takes “over for” the second element. A dam in the same time blocks and lets its contents come pouring. That one will function in overturning; it is no coincidence to remember its waterfalls. Maria Letizia appears having the camera in her hands. However she turns her back on the panorama, where the lands would “be poured” in a canyon. Two men are sitting on the edge of a hill. They contribute to overturn the lens really more ready of a camera. Will that situation be a risk, sitting on the edge of a hill, although every panning shot will re-enter in “rapture”, through the sublime of the soul? This photography has a dialectic vein: it is confirmed by the negative effect of the lights, pouring almost “in foam”, along the slopes. Perhaps we can imagine a “wind vane” of the jacket, in Maria Letizia. Something that lets the fluctuation literally… “to be sitting”. The camera is black, and in a parallelism with the faces of the canyon.
