Francesco Osti immagina che al bar, si faccia sentire solamente un pendolo, e mentre una bambina al massimo “succhia” il fondo d’una granita, fra i tavoli. Soprattutto, è il microcosmo della nostra società. Così, aleggia l’odore sia delle perline lustrate, sia degli appuntamenti mancati. Qualcosa che per il banconista invece rientra perfettamente nella normalità, se egli fa i gesti appena necessari, in mezzo agli articoli in ordine praticissimo. Gaia è stata inquadrata in piedi, in un piano americano. Solo in parte lei ci volterà le spalle, siccome il viso pare rispondere ad una chiamata. In piedi al bancone d’un bar, Gaia avrebbe avuto un appuntamento con qualcuno? Noi possiamo percepire il braccio sinistro a “risucchiarsi”, tramite la mano, un gomito “pendolare”. Qualcosa che confermerà “l’ansia” per l’appuntamento prefissato… Una scenografia serale fa emergere le lustrature: dell’abito a perline, del bancone, della tintura sui capelli ecc… C’è anche un “risucchio” fra i molti anelli a braccialetto.

Standing at the pub’s counter, would Gaia have had an appointment with somebody? We can perceive the left arm “sucking up” a “pendular” elbow, through the hand. Something that will confirm “an anxiety” for the predetermined appointment… An evening scenography allows the polishings to emerge: those of the dress with beads, of the counter, of the hair colour etc… There is also a “suction” between the many rings for a bracelet.

A very familiar face of Italian television, the model, actress and anchorwoman Gaia Bermani Amaral was born in Sao Paulo (Brazil), in 1980. Her career started in 2000, when she was selected as testimonial for the TIM. In 2001, Gaia presented the program Stracult, on Raidue. In 2005, she debuted as actress, for the movie I giorni dell’abbandono (of Roberto Faenza). In 2011, Gaia obtained an important role for the TV-fiction Un passo dal cielo, on Raiuno.

She studied at I.E.D., and then she became specialized in portraits of Italian celebrities (in the field of sport, show business, culture etc…). Between the clients of the photographer Mirta Lispi, we mention MTV, Mondadori, Mediaset, Sky, Condé Nast, Endemol, De Agostini, Rai, Rizzoli. Her shoots were also brought to the exhibition, in Rome and Milan.
