Per Derrida, sempre il libro è “nel” libro. La scrittura si dà come tale in quanto tracciante il suo senso da comprendere. Là, noi percepiremo una sospensione fra le lettere. Qualcosa che si dia sulla “soglia” d’una comprensione finale. Se il libro è nel libro, pare che esso prenda il “domicilio” in sé. Lo scrittore ne diventerebbe il “guardiano”, sulla “soglia” delle lettere. L’attrice Zoey posa in piedi. Dietro a lei, si vede la libreria, che è principalmente dedicata alla fotografia artistica. Zoey alza il braccio destro, sostenendosi con la mano fra i “solchi” d’una parete a saracinesca. Ancora più ondulato è il bavero bianco della giacca. Quello si percepirà sulla “soglia” d’un libro sfogliabile. Qui l’alzare il braccio non riflette un’ossequiosa controlleria dentro al codice militare, anche perché il volto ha un’espressione assolutamente intimistica. C’è forse la metafora del segnalibro, che, sulla “soglia” della pagina, serve a preservare la memoria della lettura.

According to Derrida, always a book is “in the” book. The writing is treated as such because it traces its sense, that we have to understand. There, we will perceive a suspension between the letters. Something that is treated as such on the “threshold” of a final comprehension. If the book is in the book, it seems to take up “residence” in itself. A writer would become its watchman, on the “threshold” of the letters. The actress Zoey poses standing. Behind her, we see the bookcase, which is principally devoted to fine-art photography. Zoey raises the right arm, holding up with the hand between the “grooves” of a wall in a shutter. The white lapel of the jacket is even more undulating. That one will be perceived on the “threshold” of a browsed book. Here a raised arm does not reflect an obsequious inspection inside a military code, also because the face has an expression absolutely intimate. Perhaps there is the metaphor of a bookmark, which, on the “threshold” of a page, functions to preserve the memory of a reading.
