La torre abbandonata dalla falena – The tower abandoned by a moth

Lei posa in piedi, a Parigi.

Montale describes a butterfly that enters from the window, while the waves shatter on the rocks, and only a line of light remains, on the horizon (before the evening goes down). Faraway we see the headlight. It is still off, but it can reflect the flashes of sunset. Of course also the butterfly has “an intermittence”, fluttering about. In the journal of De Goncourt brothers we read that Eiffel Tower seems a headlight abandoned on the Earth, and by a perished generation, of giants. The Audrey’s photography has a nocturnal setting. She poses standing, in Paris. Beyond the marble balustrade, faraway we recognize the Eiffel Tower. That is illuminated, functioning as a headlight for Paris. The space between the arms and the sides would become “with the wings of a gypsy moth” (under the nocturnal setting). Something that has inside itself the drawing of a big “eye”. How much will the photography be perceived in an esoteric way? Audrey poses very stiffly, having a look maybe “dangerous” for us! Above a balustrade, the lights of the lampposts “shatter” instead weakly, already vanishing. Differently from those, Audrey will have a figure almost “gigantic”. She absolutely would be not disappeared from the Earth. Audrey has a body really more “statuesque” than “fluttering about”. It seems that she wears a Roman tunic, symbolically reclaiming a civilization that never disappeared (for example, between the architectural monumentality or a “seriousness” of the law).
