Emily Dickinson immagina che ciascuno porti la sua parte di notte, e quella di mattino. Sono in specie i sentimenti ad accadere in via massimamente alternata, avendo un senso per il vivere. Naturalmente, ci possiamo “smarrire” pure al paradosso dell’oscurità che rilassa attraverso le stelle, o del giorno che “annebbia” per gli impegni sociali. Beatrice è stata inquadrata in un campo, d’inverno. Pare che lei addirittura corra, cercando una “via di fuga” dalla nebbia. Il terreno è gelato, e gli alberi hanno perduto tutte le foglie. Noi tendiamo a percepire un passaggio dalla naturale nebbiosità alla “disturbante” spettralità. Là il tramite sarà il “gelo” del corpo in posa. Beatrice avrebbe l’abito “fatato”, in quanto aperto “a stella” (lungo le punte degli orli). Le braccia usciranno dal busto quasi “implorando”. Esteticamente, la dialettica fra la stella e la nebbia comporta uno “smarrimento” per la labilità della luce.

Emily Dickinson imagines that everyone turns his side at night, and his side in the morning. Especially the feelings can happen in a way at the most alternate, having a sense for the living. Of course, we can “lose our way” also at the paradox of the darkness that relaxes through the stars, or of the day that “fogs” for the social commitments. Beatrice was framed in a field, in winter. It seems that she even runs, looking for an “escape route” from the fog. The ground is frozen, and the trees lost all the leaves. We tend to perceive a passage from the natural fogginess to a “disturbing” spectrality. There the “frost” of the body in pose will be the vehicle. Beatrice would have an “enchanted” dress, because it is opened “in a star” (along the points of the hems). The arms will exit from the bust almost “imploring”. Aesthetically, the dialectic between the star and the fog implicates a “loss” for the lability of the light.
