Giovan Battista Marino dedicò un sonetto alla donna che si pettina. In lei i capelli sono onde dorate, e solcati dalla mano in avorio a piccola nave. Ma l’Amore raccoglierà le ciocche spezzate, persino “incatenate” per chi non sembri abbagliato dalla Bellezza. Il poeta certamente naufragherà, quantunque nella positività d’uno scoglio a diamante e d’un golfo dorato. Charlie è stata inquadrata nuda. Pare che lei avesse posato in riva al mare, fra gli scogli. Noi immaginiamo che Charlie sia stata ammanettata. La testa sembra cedevole, mentre lo sguardo, adombrandosi, intristisce la sua “ribellione”. Soprattutto noi percepiamo l’incatenarsi delle radici, sotto l’albero in cui la “cesta” aveva perduto (sventrata dal vento) il raccolto “pettinante” dei rami. Qualcosa che si farebbe bilanciare dal masso più chiaro ed appuntito. Charlie scioglie i suoi capelli. Guardati assieme, i massi paiono ondeggianti.

But the Love will pick up the broken locks, even “chained-up” for somebody who does not seem dazzled by the Beauty. The poet certainly will drown, although in the positivity of a rock as diamond and of a golden gulf. Charlie was framed naked. It seems that she posed onshore, between the rocks. We imagine that Charlie was handcuffed. The head seems forgiving, while the gaze, overshadowing itself, saddens its “rebellion”. Principally we perceive the chaining up of the roots, under the tree where a “basket” lost (after it was disemboweled) the crop that was “combing” the branches. Something that would allow its balancing by the boulder clearest and sharpest. Charlie looses her hair. If we watch the rocks all together, so they seem waving.
