Per Baudelaire, gli amanti hanno i cuori che “fanno a gara” nel consumarsi (dalla loro passione). Questi verseranno una “vampata” di fulgore, e come un ruscello a torcia. La spiritualità dell’animo pur sempre dovrà specchiarsi, tramite la passionalità dei corpi gemellari. Elena e Giulia posano “sciogliendo il loro nodo” (dalle spalle ai fianchi). I volti guardano in direzione opposta, mentre il braccio orizzontale strapperebbe il “cerotto” del tessuto. Elena e Giulia sono realmente gemelle. Qui, loro “fanno a gara” nello specchiarsi. Un gomito, proprio al centro del “nodo siamese”, pare allungato ad illuminarsi, come una torcia (tramite la cornice in secondo piano). I vestiti hanno “pieghe ondeggianti”, persino dentro “le cateratte” degli specchi multipli.

 
According to Baudelaire, the lovers have the hearts that “compete” in consuming themselves (by their passion). These will pour an effulgent “burst of heat”, precisely like a brook at torch. The spirituality in a soul however will have to look at itself in the mirror, through the passionateness of the twin bodies. Elena and Giulia pose “untying their knot” (from the shoulders to the sides). The faces watch in the opposite direction, while the horizontal arm would tear off a “band-aid” of the woven. Elena and Giulia are really twin sisters. Here, they “compete” in looking at themselves in the mirror. An elbow, exactly in the middle of the “Siamese knot”, seems extended to become illuminated, like a torch (through the frame in the middle ground). The clothes have “waving folds”, even inside “the cataracts” of the multiple mirrors.

Giulia ha applicato la sua formazione d’interior design, per conto d’un architetto, a New York. Nel loro blog, le due gemelle (ora riunitesi a Milano) parlano delle passioni in comune.

Elena took the degree in Architecture, later working in Brazilian city of Sao Paulo, for a design gallery. Giulia applied her education as interior design, for an architect in New York.
