Il sottopasso è un nido rattoppato – The underpass is a patched nest

According to Jean Caubere, the nest where a bird sings is lukewarm and calm, reechoing a pure threshold of the old house. According to Gaston Bachelard, every memory is perceived in a dreamy way. Waking up is always coming back to reality, losing the illusion to live in own intimacy. Something that childhood instead would have allowed. This one, symbolized by a nest, always happens in a “pure threshold” of the growth, which protects itself continuously. Charlotte poses standing, touching the wall of an underpass. She wears a strange hat, which has a “festive” decoration. The raised fist, combined with the head slightly falling back, confers on Charlotte a pose almost “for a soprano”. The underpass is perceived in the intimacy of the road. There’s a plumage of the hat. Charlotte will ideally look for the “support” of a “pure threshold”, leading own intimacy to reecho. The underpass seems continuously “patched”, both in the floor and in the wall.
